The Belgian Financial Forum is delighted to invite you to the in-person seminar “The benefits and pitfalls of securitisation,” taking place in Brussels in the premises of the National bank of Belgium.
Estimates of the necessary investments to address the current challenges are reaching up to 1 trillion euro per year. In this context, the aim to set up a Savings and Investments Union is urgent and a revival of the securitisation market is seen as a potential strategy to unlock these investments. To achieve this, the Commission proposed a set of measures to revive the EU securitisation framework in June 2025.
This gathering will bring together high-level policymakers, regulators, EU leaders, and financial experts to discuss about securitisation as a potential driver of growth but also as a useful element in the toolkit of a successful risk management for banks and insurance companies.
The conference will be held in English. Simultaneous translation is not foreseen.
Attendance is free, but spaces are limited. The conference will be preceded by a networking lunch.
Photos may be taken during the event to illustrate and support the activities and mission of the Belgian Financial Forum. These can be published through various media channels.
