Leo Van Hove is Professor of Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Brus­­sel (Free University of Brussels), where he teaches courses in mone­tary economics, network economics, and research methods. His current research interests include payment instruments, financial literacy, network effects, and e-commerce.

Ellen Van Droogenbroeck is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Economics (APEC) of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Solvay Business School at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Free University of Brussels), where she teaches courses on macroeconomics and statistics. She obtained her PhD in Applied Economics: Commercial Engineer in 2018 at VUB. The topic of her doctoral dissertation was the adoption of online grocery services. Her current research interests include online grocery shopping, (e-)retailing, payment instruments and financial/digital literacy.

Raf Rollier is Head of Physical Security, Statistics & Digital Inclusion at Febelfin (the Belgian Financial Sector Federation).  He holds a master’s degree in Business Economics (EHSAL, Brussels) and has been following the topic of cash and payment habits for several years.
